Les Amis Bake Shoppe is just a mile from Longridge Apartments. Louisiana native Stephanie Bueche Hansen opened the Shop in 2013, and its baked goods have created a buzz. Featured in publications including Only in Louisiana, The Daily Reveille, and The Advocate, Hansen has made a name for herself in the Baton Rouge food scene.

What sets Les Amis Bake Shoppe apart? It's the fact that all of Hansen's baked goods are made from scratch using quality ingredients. Gambino's Bakery

Gambino's Bakery is a Louisiana bakery chain with a rich history that dates back to the early 1920s. It all started in Beulah Ledner's New Orleans kitchen, where her baked goods were so good that she was dubbed the 'Doberge Queen of New Orleans.' Her bakery was a success, leading her to establish a retail store and invent the Crescent City Cake.

In 1946, Joe Gambino bought Beulah's bakery and expanded throughout Louisiana. Although the name has changed, Gambino still bakes Beulah's Doberge cake recipe by hand, as well as her Crescent City Cake creation.

The Ambrosia Bakery, an award-winning establishment, has seen rapid growth since its opening in 1991. What started as a 1200-square-foot shop has now expanded to 8,200 square feet with over 60 employees. The Daily Meal even named The Ambrosia Bakery one of America's top 50 wedding cake bakeries. Their Fresh Strawberry cake, made using a secret family recipe, is a customer favorite that always leaves them wanting more.
